The shortest route from our home to my husband’s office goes through Nallurahalli. In the morning and evening rush hours, the road through the village is crowded with cars, motorbikes, and a surprising number of Traveller minibuses full of software developers.
But when I drove through there around noon on 11 July, the cows, dogs and goats had reclaimed the streets.
The surprising thing in the next photo is the fact that the dogs are up and about at lunchtime.
Bangalore’s street dogs usually spend most of their day asleep, like these ones.
Maybe the dogs were waiting for the bus. If so, they weren’t very good at queuing. These goats were much better at standing in line.
