The Natural History Museum in South Kensington is currently hosting an exhibition of the winning photos from the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition 2013. I loved the exhibition, and my husband loved photographing me alongside the Japanese macaque. I don’t know what similarities he was trying to illustrate.
So I recommend a visit to the permanent collections of the museum (free), the photography exhibition (£12 but worth every penny), and then a skate around the ice rink.
The rink is open until 5 January.
The child in the bottom left of this photo is leaning on a penguin. I would need one of those too. Japanese snow monkeys are probably better at skating than I am.
The museum looks so stately!

You’re absolutely right. Both the Natural History Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum are in beautiful buildings.

Nice! I went ice-skating today actually! Just happy I’m still alive and in one piece 😉 Success!
