28 Photos Later: Day 4 in London

Welcome to day 4 of “28 Photos Later”.

fourToday’s photo “Built to Last” comes from a quiet street near Marble Arch.  I sought refuge in Connaught Place when the people and traffic around the intersections of Park Lane, Oxford Street, Edgware Road and Bayswater were overwhelming me.

  1. This is a much more stately and modern Connaught Place than Delhi’s version! Which was long ago re-dubbed “Rajiv Chowk”… Have you ever spent time there?

No, never been there. In fact the only part of Delhi I have seen is the airport.
But I’ve just done some speedy research on Wikipedia – and can confirm that both CPs are named for the same man, Prince Arthur, son of Queen Victoria, the first Duke of Strathearn and Connaught. And just for you, I found out one more fact: he was Governor-General of Canada during the First World War.
