Christmas Trees in Miniature

Today’s Christmas trees are beautiful miniatures.

These green paper trees are part of a snowy landscape in the window of Bonpoint, a French shop in Marylebone selling children’s clothes.

If that paper is too plain for you, how about these trees in Il Papiro, an Italian stationery shop in Saint Christopher’s Place?

There are mini trees in the windows of the John Lewis department store on Oxford Street too.  Sets of trees rise out of boxes to reveal….Princess Leia!

Great stuff! We have Star Wars mania over here too as some of it was filmed in the U.A.E. Every day there is something in the papers about it!

I didn’t know that they filmed in the U.A.E. When I saw your comment, I found an article online that said that Abu Dhabi plays Jakku, “a frontier desert planet in a remote section of the Outer Rim Territories”. From now on I’m going to think you as living on the frontier desert planet of Dubai.

That’s a very good way to think of it. It’s a bit like the “wild west” on the Mars sometimes. 😉

And Happy Christmas to you and your family, Helen.

  4. The green paper does look a bit plain to me, but I loved the one in the second pic! 🙂

I have to visit London if only for the range of stationery shops there. Would love to shop for some paper and blank notebooks! In India, you don’t get a wide range of paper products to choose from. 😦

Who is Princess Leia? Please pardon me for my ignorance!

Sorry- I should have explained that Leia is a character from the old Star Wars movies, played by actress Carrie Fisher.

Shops are selling Star Wars merchandise in advance of a new movie being released this week.
