After a few weeks of city life in London, I am always happy to escape to the country, to the family farm in County Down, Northern Ireland. I have shared some photos of farm animals on this blog.
Click here for the donkeys; click here for the lambs; and click here for the cows.
In October 2014 I started a new project in Northern Ireland, taking photographs of the local area, one townland at a time. You can see those photos on my other blog: Townlands of Ulster.
FOOTNOTE: The donkey photo above appeared in the Belfast Telegraph on 13 August and 15 October 2014, as one of the featured entries in the newspaper’s “One Summer’s Day” photo competition. A larger selection of photos is displayed on their website. If you are ready for some clicking, start here to find the gallery, then click through to photos 65-68 for my sweet pea, fields and more donkeys.
I’m enjoying my visits here. Something of a star of the county down! Regards Thom.
